Accessibility statement
Our commitment
RestaurantWeek Sp. z o.o. makes every effort to ensure that the week.pl website and the Week mobile app are accessible to all users, including people with disabilities. We aim to meet the requirements of WCAG 2.1 at level AA and are continuously working to remove accessibility barriers.
We are aware that full accessibility is an ongoing process. We are actively making changes across our organisation so that our digital services are as usable and inclusive as possible, allowing every user to use them with dignity and independence.
We act in accordance with the requirements of the European Accessibility Act (Directive 2019/882).

Known limitations
Despite our efforts to ensure accessibility, some limitations may occur. The known limitations are described below. Please contact us if you notice a problem that is not listed here.
What the limitations may involve
The limitations we have identified take a few recurring forms:
- some controls have no names that a screen reader can read – they may be announced as “button” without information about their function
- some messages, especially error messages, appear only visually and are not announced
- some elements have insufficient contrast, and with a significantly enlarged font some labels may be truncated
- a few functions require a mouse or a gesture that is hard to perform with a screen reader turned on
- content and services provided by third parties may not meet the standards we apply ourselves
Website
Third-party services and content
We have no direct technical control over the accessibility of the following elements:
- Cookie consent banner – blocks use of the website until a choice is made; in the Ukrainian version of the website it is displayed in English.
- Payments – some payments are processed on the payment operator’s website and may not be fully accessible to screen readers.
- Restaurant map – does not provide a text description and cannot be browsed with a keyboard.
- Alternative: all restaurants, together with their addresses, are available in the list view, which is fully accessible.
- Sign in with Google and Apple – the screens of these services belong to their providers.
- Alternative: signing in with an e-mail address and password, handled entirely on our side.
- Chat and promotional bar – display their own interface; the chat button may have no name that a screen reader can read.
- Alternative: contact us by e-mail or phone.
Articles, help and documents
Articles, answers in the help section, terms and conditions and the privacy policy are edited by our team. The order of headings and image descriptions in them may be inconsistent.
- Alternative: contact us by e-mail or phone.
Animations and motion on screen
The website does not yet respect the system setting for reducing motion, so animations and automatically scrolling banners work regardless of this preference. Banner scrolling pauses when you hover over it or move keyboard focus to it.
Week mobile app (iOS and Android)
Fixing some of these issues requires releasing a new version in the App Store and Google Play, so they may still be visible after the dates given in the accessibility improvement plan – until you update the app on your device.
Booking and payment
The card details form indicates errors only with colour, without a text message, and its fields do not have full labels for screen readers. The list of payment methods, the list of banks and the BLIK code field are not properly labelled. The link to the terms and conditions in the consent text cannot be opened with a screen reader – the full terms and conditions are available under Profile → Terms and conditions.
Using the app with a screen reader
In some places in the app, controls – for example buttons, tabs or bottom sheets – may not have a full description read by the screen reader, and some messages and notifications may not be announced. Panels that cannot be closed with a screen reader can be closed with the system back gesture.
Readability of the interface
In some places in the app, the contrast of text or field borders may be insufficient, and with a significantly enlarged system font some labels may be truncated.
Graphics and promotional banners
In banners that contain a link, the image’s alternative text is sometimes replaced by the link name. If a banner contains text embedded in the image, this text is not conveyed to the screen reader.
Third-party services
We have no direct control over the accessibility of the following elements:
- Payments – some payments are processed on the payment operator’s page opened inside the app and may not be fully accessible to screen readers.
- Restaurant map – map markers are not accessible to screen readers.
- Alternative: the same set of restaurants is fully accessible in the list view, including name, address and the option to book.
- Sign in with Google and Apple – the sign-in and consent screens belong to their providers.
- Alternative: signing in with an e-mail address and password.
- Terms and conditions and privacy policy – displayed as content from the content management system, and their structure depends on how the document is edited.
Legal basis
This accessibility statement has been prepared in accordance with the requirements of the European Accessibility Act (EAA) and the Polish Act of 4 April 2019 on the digital accessibility of websites and mobile applications of public entities.
