Quale Restaurant is as Łódź-esque as it gets. It couldn't be otherwise, considering it's located in the basement of a former factory owner's palace.
We have Polish food here, Russian, Jewish, and German accents, because Łódź has been multicultural from the beginning and has always been open to new things. We have a sea of alcohol on the shelves here, because a Łódź resident (not just those from Bałuty) didn't usually pour anything down his sleeve, and a factory owner was fond of a smoke.
Finally, we have warm, cozy, and dignified interiors, decorated in the spirit of the times, which always evokes nostalgic memories in this city. And by the way, because Łódź likes to be that way, it's modern and inspiringly eclectic.
It doesn't matter that the ŁKS stadium is on one side of the city and Widzew on the other. Quale is in the middle. It doesn't matter that you come to Quale from the opera house to the east and the philharmonic hall to the west. Quale is in the city center, right next to the modern Fabryczny Railway Station. In the heart of Łódź. Lodz through and through.
